Beatrice Andretti was born on March 3rd, 2003, the unexpected result of a fleeting teenage romance between Camilla Ferreira and Marco Andretti. Both only seventeen at the time, Camilla and Marco were barely beginning to navigate adulthood when they found themselves faced with a life-altering decision. Lacking the emotional and financial stability to raise a child, and knowing they couldn’t provide the kind of life they wanted for her, they made the difficult but selfless decision to place their daughter for adoption.
Beatrice was just two years old when she was adopted by Michael and Clarity Johnson, a warm-hearted couple living in Jupiter, Florida, whose love for her was immediate and unconditional. The Johnsons owned a modest but thriving fishing business nestled on the edge of the Florida coastline – an idyllic backdrop for Beatrice’s upbringing. The sea was practically in their backyard, and her earliest memories are filled with salty air, sunrises over the water, and the hum of boat engines.
Michael, a steady and kind-hearted man with calloused hands and a quiet wisdom, was the father she grew up knowing. Clarity, nurturing and spirited, was the mother who sang to her at bedtime and taught her to paint seashells. The Johnsons had long struggled to have children of their own. Years of heartache, unsuccessful IVF treatments, and emotional strain had left them feeling hopeless until the day Beatrice came into their lives – a moment they would later describe as nothing short of a miracle.
From the start, they never hid the truth from Beatrice. Though she never met them face to face, Beatrice grew up with an awareness of her biological roots. She knew her father, Marco Andretti, carried a name that echoed across the motorsport world. The Andretti family was practically royalty in racing circles, a lineage of speed and ambition. Yet Beatrice, though curious, had never mustered the courage to reach out to him or his family. It wasn’t fear that held her back, but rather a desire to understand herself first, on her own terms.
Despite the vast differences between her birth heritage and her upbringing, Beatrice flourished. Encouraged by Michael and Clarity to follow her passions, she nurtured a deep love for creativity and design. Her parents never dismissed her dreams, whether it was building elaborate forts as a child or entering art competitions in high school. That support carried her all the way to the University of Florida, where she began studying both art and mechanical engineering – a pairing that reflected her dual love for aesthetics and structure, creativity and precision.
In her third year, Beatrice landed a competitive part-time internship with Alpine’s Formula One team, working remotely on aerodynamic modeling and component simulations. It was a quiet triumph – one she kept mostly to herself – but it gave her a taste of the world her birth family inhabited. For the first time, she began to imagine how her passions might intersect with her origins, not just in theory but in practice.
Her education was entirely funded by the Johnsons – a gift they never made her feel indebted for, but one she quietly vowed to repay in her own way.
Every now and then, during school breaks or long weekends, Beatrice returned home to Jupiter. While she didn’t fully share her parents’ passion for fishing, she never hesitated to help out on the boats. Whether it was untangling nets, loading supplies, or navigating through early morning fog, those moments were precious to her – simple but meaningful. They were reminders of where she came from, of the love that raised her, and of the family who chose her.
Now, standing at the intersection of her past and future, Beatrice is a young woman with two worlds behind her – one by birth, and one by choice. And though she hasn’t yet stepped into the fast-paced world of the Andrettis, she knows that one day, she might. When she’s ready.

Bea walks around like she owns the place, maybe that's because she in fact does. As soul owner of Andretti racing she is always calling the shots and acting like the big boss. In the spare time that she does get she also models and has been known to drag a few drivers along with her for the shoots.
